Techtel helps to spread the word with CueScript in Singapore’s 2020 General Election

Singapore, 17 November 2020 – Techtel, a Singapore-based broadcast systems integrator, was recently thrust into the Singapore General Election limelight as we worked with the local video producer to provide a teleprompting solution for the election candidates. 

Our customer was selected by The Peoples Association (PAP) to produce and stream the candidate’s speeches including the Prime Minister’s to a nationwide audience prior to the election in July 2020.  To aid the candidate’s speeches, prompting was a necessity and the video production company turned to Techtel to provide the high performing and rock-solid reliability from CueScript as the platform for this high-profile event. 

The system chosen consisted of a 19” LED High Brightness Monitor, a large collapsible hood, an integrated camera mounting system and a range of supporting accessories.  The larger monitor provides crisp, easy to read displays even when reading at a distance from the camera; while the combined system itself is engineered to be compact providing more room for operators to move it around to capture the shots they need.  Rounding out the solution CueScript’s easy to use CueiT software was chosen to prepare scripts and control the speed of the read rate.

CueScript’s High Definition 19” CSM prompting monitor is one of the first teleprompting solutions to deliver sharp HD progressive scan text with no motion blur.  Furthermore, it features a silent fanless design which uses elements of the mounting hardware to dissipate heat; and 270 degrees of tally light visibility via the wrap around tally lamps mounted at the front of the prompter, providing talent and other studio operators with easy identification of which camera is on-air.
